About the Role

Duties include daily work as a vital part of a two-person team providing ongoing scheduled care of residential landscape and garden spaces for fine homes throughout San Francisco and the greater Bay Area.
Tasks include the care and grooming of ornamental and edible plants, maintenance of irrigation and lighting systems, keeping garden and hardscape areas tidy and free of weeds, planting and miscellaneous other garden-related tasks.
Required Skills: Plant ID, pruning, irrigation repair, equipment handling (sharpening and minor repair), power tool operation, ability to lift 50lbs, and a valid CA drivers license with a clean driving record. Successful candidate demonstrate the ability to self-motivate, and a strong work ethic.
Requirements
Landscape maintenance: 3 years (Required)
Horticulture: 2 years (Required)
This role is for an experienced to advanced gardener with in-depth horticultural knowledge, landscape or garden management experience, strong time management and customer service skills, and possess a capacity and willingness for continued learning.
Successful candidates should have basic to advanced gardening and/or horticultural knowledge, with an expressed interest and capacity for the following:
Plant identification
Intermediate to advanced pruning knowledge and skills
General plant care and fertilizer use
Turf management
Basic integrated pest management skills
Water management and Irrigation controls
Basic Tool use and maintenance
Use of power equipment operation
And have a strong work ethic
 Ability to self-initiate, learn and prefect new and old skills, tools, and materials; contribute to a team effort; seek solutions and follow plans and instruction is a plus.
