Skilled and General Landscape Construction Crew Members must have skills that can be demonstrated at time of hire and real experience relating to the position.
Crew Members must be able to:
Work safely, deliberately, and skillfully at all times, with awareness of client expectations, budget and project targets.
Work actively to contribute to any and all job site efforts and accurately perform site layout tasks
Understand all or many basic elements of a landscape construction job, and the functions they perform
Support and follow Foreman's instruction and actively seek to work as a team
Self-start and stay on target for all work and project expectations
Work respectfully by observing company and job-site policies, general workplace values of honesty, fairness, and equal opportunity, as well, observe and respect the individual expression or declared boundaries of coworkers, our clients, general and subcontractors.
Specifically contribute to the installation of project elements with basic demonstrated knowledge, and skills including: masonry, concrete and carpentry elements and features such as, fences, patios, decks, steps and walls, and other garden structures; as well as drainage and irrigation systems, water features, low voltage lighting and more.
Knowledgably execute with little to no supervision, soil work and planting plans; have basic horticultural knowledge and plant identification; be able to, lay out plants according to plan, properly arranging and installing large trees, shrubs, bedding plants, ground cover plantings and sod lawns, as well as planters and vertical garden features.
Add value and contribute to team effort -- Each team must be capable of working together, identify and utilize full range of skill sets new and old, through understanding big-picture expectations. Awareness of quality control, training, and mentorship is expected, and is key for maintaining a high level of craftsman on all jobs
Requirements
2-6 years working in residential landscape construction and possibly other related construction fields. have worked or have exposure and knowledge of 2 or more aspects of the landscape project construction build cycle, and be willing and able to positively and skillfully contribute and execute project details including: masonry, concrete and wood landscape elements and features, including patios, decks, steps and walls, and other garden structures. As well as drainage and irrigation systems, water features and low voltage lighting. And ability to self-initiate, learn and prefect new and old skills, tools, and materials; contribute to a team effort; seek solutions and follow plans and instruction is a plus.
